Scaling Up Passive Multi-Family: What’s Up In Massachusetts

March 19 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

Event Navigation

Two years ago, there was only one certified passive multi-family development in Massachusetts.  Today there eight affordable Passive Multi-family buildings recently completed or under construction and another 106 buildings that have least completed passive house feasibility studies and passive house energy models.

Why the change?  Learn about the evolution of incentives, policy, educational offers in Massachusetts that have led to a dramatic scaling up of passive multifamily projects.  Hear about the incremental costs affordable housing passive projects are seeing and lessons they are learning that are already bringing costs down.  Find out about educational resources available on demand to all (yes even out of state!) through Passive House Massachusetts.
