The Net-zero single family house, completed in 2014, was built on a limited budget, costing 8% more than an identical, energy star class, house. The 13″ thick exterior walls consist of a double row of framing with High Density Cellulose. The insulated roof is made of 12″ TJI with Demilec Agribalance Medium density foam, and the bottom floor is framed with 12″ TJI and H D Cellulose.
