340+ Dixwell is a 69-unit apartment complex consisting of two structures on a single lot at the prominent intersection of Dixwell Avenue and Orchard Street. This development will offer “deeply affordable” apartments constructed with prefabricated mass timber panels. Combined with passive house design principles, this construction method stands to lead the way for using mass timber to build healthy affordable housing with a renewable resource that also represents new opportunities for workforce development and training.
